A LITTLE HISTORY

The Blue Diamonds program was founded in 2001 by Barry Mosley and assisted by John Weihe. Previous to the birth of the program many of the players that were the first members on the BD teams were Lincoln Blazers. The first year there was only one team. However by demand and popularity, soon many more teams were added.

By year three of the program, it had grown to eight teams, which included age groups from 10 & under to 18 & under. Over the last eleven years the Blue Diamonds teams have been very successful, with many teams earning state championships and many tournament titles.

Over thirty-five former BD players have gone on to earn college scholarships, several at the division one level.

Currently, the Board of Directors for the program includes Jo Mosley, Mitch Ohnoutka, Kris Swanson and Marcia Huenink.
